Sustainability is an ambitious goal for people. We do, however, have the opportunity to create a sustainable

environment that will allow the human race to survive indefinitely. To achieve that, we need to start maintaining the

country. The earth provides raw materials, which become commodities, which are used in the development of

everything necessary for life, including food, water, and shelter. Water, land, and air are the basic foundations of life

that can also serve as a representation of our efforts to deplete resources and sustainability. An intangible coexisting

demand for future sustainability is a strong social or cultural environment that will be responsible for developing

processes, policies, laws, and other mechanisms that will support sustainability.

quality of life with a lower intensity of resource use, thus leaving behind an undiminished or even increased stock of

natural resources and other goods.”

Our goal should be to work to restore and maintain their function and integrity so that their services and human use According to

Lausanne (2007), the dominant socio-economic paradigm has led to behaviors that are increasingly present in

today’s society. We as individuals need to set goals that will help restore our global ecosystem, foster a healthy

lifestyle, and reduce our impact on the local environment. We should look at our activities and consider some of the

not-so-positive ways we affect the future and the world. We should look at the daily decisions we make about energy

consumption, water consumption, recycling, transportation, and food in a new way.

The first green revolution was considered a failure in terms of environmental protection because it did not work

together with nature. It failed due to poor management. Small farmers were eventually left behind and could not get

help with their farms. Their voices were not heard. Instead, the voices of people buying larger farms were heard.

Along with these new pollutants that arrived, such as pests, oil, fertilizers, etc … the green revolution proved to be a

failure, they did not listen and pay attention to nature and local farmers.

The Green 2 revolution is a good idea because we hope they have learned from the mistakes of the past and are more

inclined to understand and grasp what really needs to be done to sustain themselves. Maybe this time they will work together with nature. They are:

„1. A redistributive policy that favors the poor by giving them access to land and modern inputs.

2. Increased public funding of less favorable agricultural land.

3. Increased attention to the needs of small farms and landless workers, including loans.

4. Increased investment in rain-fed agricultural areas in Asia and Latin America.

5. Decentralized agricultural research, development and enlargement systems with a focus on specific issues, such as land and water management ”(Rogers, 2008)

These are very sound elements and if used properly they should be very successful.

According to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, the purpose of environmental sustainability is

to “encourage and promote the common good, to create and maintain conditions under which man and nat. ure can

exist in productive harmony and fulfill social, economic, and other demands of present and future generations”

approach.

and focus on the scientific evidence presented.

social and economic status in those countries like India and Mexico by increasing food production had

environmental shortcomings. The use of fertilizers and pesticides has led to an increase in soil and water pollution.

These countries depended on primitive sources of drinking and irrigation water, such as “wells”, streams and rivers.
