If Certain Things Did Not Restrain Me – ‘Ewepu-Ihe-Anaso’ I Would Have: A Short Story

At the end of his fifteen -minute session, JD emerged from the thick snow forest behind the two -story family home.
It was past midnight, and the moon was as bright as the rest of the moon. Looking around, JD wondered why he had
so many thoughts in his head. No one in their right minds would wake up and watch the back gate and wait for him
to return home. For all her worries, adults may not know she’s out of the house. It’s not the time for them to grieve
with flies to fight.
Uncle Foreman was the man who was avoided despite the cost. Since behind the forest, JD has inspected it several
times. Luck is on his side, as there is no living sign in Uncle Foreman’s bedroom upstairs, with windows facing the
kitchen. Foreman knows he has a gun he won’t be reluctant to use if he mistake it for a robber. Why the elders didn’t
appreciate the loving needs of the young people JD struggled with.

Bravely in the darkness of the shield, he was unafraid and made his way home quickly. The faster he crossed the
grassy field between the forest and the iron fence behind him, the harder it was for the man to wake up to resist him.
When wisdom comes, he admits that the elders were right when they said, ‘If a man is fast he will avoid troubles.’ But
what about fear? They forgot to say why fear. ‘Be slow to the gate like a cat,’ he said to himself.
The young man’s outstretched arm pushed open the gate and the chains behind it slipped. ‘These Obanshis [children
piled up in their pants] don’t forget to close the gate at eight o’clock, the exact time Uncle Foreman ordered. What do
they know? let the flu be on them. he swore under his breath.

It wasn’t that he had trouble breaking down the fence — he had done well the previous two nights and no one had
woken up. If there is a strand of rough wire on the iron fence it will be more difficult to penetrate, even if it is bloody,
but it is not possible. He was proud to be a good man to climb. ‘Why don’t you thank and thank the Lord for not
having a cell phone?’ he pondered, but did not follow. If no one had stopped him for two nights, no one had seen
him, no one was looking for him. He almost killed himself for the more complicated nature of this entry than it
should have.
His right hand was still on the gate, he thought. ‘Why was I lazy tonight when I wasn’t last night or the night before?’
It was clear to him – the nature of the third attempt. It was terrible for the third test; Signs of good or bad luck
change a third time.

Uncle Foreman enjoyed sleeping on his right side with his right ear on the bed. Because of that, he says, he was able
to trace every footprint, including the things that the spirit made. For the past few days, he has repeatedly asked
himself that question: ‘When will this young man, JD, change his mind, and stop visiting at night? He was soon
knocked on the head by street robbers and driven away, with no sign of his body. Would I be better off working for
him? When his dead are found his people will bury him. Tomorrow, if this practice continues, I will show him that
fast driving legs will be seen by fast eyes. ‘
As JD moved out of the gate and began to study the part of the fence to climb, a thought flew into his head; be quick
to go back into the snowy forest, find a strong fallen handle and use it on the fence. First of all, that is true and
correct. When he thinks more about the plan, he realizes that the unavoidable landing will be noisy in the house, and
the adults will be sent to search for the intruders.

Yet his heart is still troubled the third time he uses that technique. There are other options for those who are diligent,
he thought. Between the lower rail and the ground, a gap, if widened, could hold the head and body of a sluggish
young man. He turns to look for a sharp tool. It produces a thick, sweet sugar cane that breaks only when applied to
the ground.
Left with no other choice, he decided to participate in his third entry. He took a vertical rail at his side, but delayed it
before being released.
He also studied iron fencing. Three steps from the lower rail, through the middle rail to the last rail, he climbed up.
He grabbed a standing iron bar and pulled his body up.

He found a footrest on the lower rail and placed his right foot. Holding the iron part with both his hands he lifts the
left leg to connect with the right leg. There are only two rails h
